CCG Stakeholder Forum Nov 2012

The latest CCG stakeholder forum took place today and was kindly hosted by Bloomfield Methodist Church.

The Lord Mayor Alderman Gavin Robinson was in attendance along with other elected local representatives including Deputy Mayor of Castlereagh Tommy Sandford.

Change your habits - reduce waste as part of European Week for Waste Reduction

Reduction of waste is an issue very close to our hearts here at the CCG!

One of the aims of the CCG project is to clean5km of rivers. This involes removing peoples unwanted rubbish from the rivers. Over the years we have found trolleys, TV's, mattresses, pallets, bikes and even a car in the river!

Let's prevent this from happening - help stop rubbish entering our environment/rivers and change your habits now!

Update on CCG project at Politicians Breakfast

The EBP Politicians Breakfast Briefing took place this morning. This briefing provides an opportunity for our local elected representatives to be updated on the various projects being undertaken in the Partnership.

Wendy (CCG) began by updating the attendees, including representatives from both Belfast and Castlereagh Councils, on the CCG project.

The Hollow successfully put to bed for winter!

A big thank you to all the volunteers who took part in the Hollow cleanup on Saturday! 

Rivers agency has secured £6m for the integrated / flood alleviation elements of the CCG project.

Agriculture Minister Michelle O’Neill has secured £ 6 million for flood alleviation work to help protect 1,700 properties in East Belfast.

The move, which comes following a meeting with the Finance Minister, gives the Rivers Agency the go ahead to include flood alleviation works as part of the Connswater Community Greenway project.
