Preparation work begins in Orangefield Park

In preparation for the construction of the Connswater Community Greenway, Belfast City Council will be removing a number of trees located in Orangefield and Greenville Parks.

Tree removal will take place only where it is necessary to allow construction work to take place. The affected areas are highlighted in red on the map below. The areas within the park have been marked out with wooden pegs and tape to show the extent of the tree removal being carried out. 

Essential sewer improvement work gets underway in Linen Gardens/Abetta Parade

NI Water has started the Sewer Improvement Works in the Linen Gardens/Abetta Parade area of east Belfast.

Approximately £500,000 has been invested in this programme of work, which will last up to six months.

Avoniel community garden starts to take shape

The Avoniel Community garden is making great progress and is starting to take shape.

Yesterday, on Valentine's Day the CCG team decided to show their love for the community garden by lending a hand on site. You can check out the progress of the garden and all the snaps from the day in the Gallery. 

Plans for Victoria Park displayed as part of public information session

Plans for Victoria Park were displayed in Victoria Park Bowling Pavilon on Sat 9th February as part of the CCG Information Session.

CCG information sessions continue in Victoria Park

The CCG information sessions continue this weekend in Victoria Park. Plans will be on display at Victoria Park Bowling Pavilion on  Sat 9th Feb from 9am - 12pm. These designs will focus on the D6 section of construction works in Victoria Park.
