CCG/Flood Alleviation Scheme phase one out for tender

A positive step forward today for the Connswater Community Greenway project as the tender for  construction of phase one is advertised.

CCG visits community gardens ahead of Avoniel community garden creation.

As part of research for the Avoniel Community Garden some of the CCG team along with representatives from the East Belfast Mission, East Belfast Community Councilling, Bloomfield Community Association and Belfast City Council visited other BCC Community Gardens to find out what works well.

CCG Stakeholder Forum Nov 2012

The latest CCG stakeholder forum took place today and was kindly hosted by Bloomfield Methodist Church.

The Lord Mayor Alderman Gavin Robinson was in attendance along with other elected local representatives including Deputy Mayor of Castlereagh Tommy Sandford.

Change your habits - reduce waste as part of European Week for Waste Reduction

Reduction of waste is an issue very close to our hearts here at the CCG!

One of the aims of the CCG project is to clean5km of rivers. This involes removing peoples unwanted rubbish from the rivers. Over the years we have found trolleys, TV's, mattresses, pallets, bikes and even a car in the river!

Let's prevent this from happening - help stop rubbish entering our environment/rivers and change your habits now!

Update on CCG project at Politicians Breakfast

The EBP Politicians Breakfast Briefing took place this morning. This briefing provides an opportunity for our local elected representatives to be updated on the various projects being undertaken in the Partnership.
