Façade Artwork planned for buildings adjacent to the C.S. Lewis Civic Square

Last year, the East Belfast Partnership successfully secured National Lottery funding through the Arts Council NI to create a piece of art to improve the appearance of the backs of the buildings adjacent to what will eventually become the Connswater Community Greenway’s C.S. Lewis Civic Square (beside the Holywood Arches, east Belfast). 

Phase 2 construction of the Connswater Community Greenway underway

Phase 2 construction of the Connswater Community Greenway is now well underway with work focusing on site clearance and construction of the Greenway at the Orangefield Park to the Knock Dual Carriageway section(C7). 

Meet the buyer event

Belfast City Council are holding a Meet the Buyer event to help Businesses find out about current and upcoming sub contracting opportunities on a range of projects including the Connswater Community Greenway.

At the event businesses will be given the opportunity to hear an overview of the project and meet representatives of Farrans to discuss available works packages.

With the most romantic day of the year coming up we invite you to join in the Valentine’s Day celebrations in the fabulous Victoria Park, part of the new Connswater Community Greenway.

Final construction phase of the Greenway kicking off in the New Year...

Construction will begin next month on the second phase of the £40 million Connswater Community Greenway, in east Belfast.   This carries on from the recently completed phase 1 greenway works at Victoria and Orangefield Park’s.

Exciting plans for phase 2 of the Connswater Community Greenway include:

·         A C.S. Lewis themed civic square at Holywood Arches

·         Public art at Holywood Arches and gateways
