Construction of the Connswater Community Greenway continues across most work fronts...

The Connswater Community Greenway makes consistent progress across most works fronts in east Belfast.

In section D5, Sydenham Bypass to Mersey Street our contractor, Farrans Construction have finished piling works on both sides of the Connswater River and have begun the installation of a reinforced flood wall.

Big Lottery Fund Board visit the Connswater Community Greenway

Last week, the Big Lottery Fund’s UK Board and senior management team were in Belfast to see the impact of Big Lottery Fund investment in communities across Belfast. During their time here they visited the Connswater Community Greenway to see how things are shaping up.

Step into The Wardrobe and enter the world of Narnia with this year's C.S. Lewis Festival

The EastSide of the City is getting ready to celebrate the life and works of one of its literary greats all over again with the launch of the third C.S. Lewis Festival.  
The Festival will not only showcase Lewis’ diverse works and legacy but his strong connections to his childhood home of east Belfast. Through a series of events and activities including talks, film, theatre, arts, crafts, readings, music, workshops, exhibitions, tours and literature - everyone is invited to open the wardrobe door into the world of C.S.

On Thursday 15th October we went on a Connswater Community Greenway Hard Hat Bus Tour to see the developments of the new sections of the Connswater Community Greenway. 

Connswater Community Greenway Stakeholder Forum takes place at Braniel Church

On Friday 16th October the latest Connswater Community Greenway (CCG) Stakeholder Forum took place at Braniel Church. 

Issues discussed included the construction works and design element of the project, community engagement and activities and also a visit from Ulster University to discuss their Community Participation in Planning  which is focusing on the Connswater Community Greenway.
