The Connswater Community Greenway held their third Stakeholder Forum at the East Belfast Mission on Friday 27th February 2009. The event was attended by over 60 people representing the community, private, public and voluntary sectors.

Wendy Langham, Programme Manager, provided an update on the project as well as highlighting the aims for the next quarter.

Visit to Colin Glen Forest ParkThe CCG Staff Team visited Colin Glen Forest Park in West Belfast.

The Colin Glen Trust was established in 1989 and since then they have been working to promote the conservation protection and improvement of the natural environment around the Colin Glen and to develop practical projects for recreational and leisure pursuits.

Politicians' Breakfast BriefingLocal politicians attended a breakfast briefing on the Connswater Community Greenway project at the new look Connswater Shopping Centre.

The politicians in attendance were updated on the many elements of the project and were informed of the forthcoming targets including the appointment of the Design and Build Team in September 2009 and construction commencing in March/ April 2010.
