Construction works update for December including closure notices...

Works on the Connswater Community Greenway continue to make good progress across East Belfast with over ten work fronts currently open.

Most notably this week our contractor is scheduled to begin resurfacing works in the Orby Road area, which will involve the following road closures:

1.    Road Closure - Monday 7 December - Friday 11 December

2.    Road Closure - Monday 14 December – Friday 18 December

During these works the road will be closed, however please be assured  we have planned these works to ensure access to your properties on Orby Road  will be maintained using diversionary routes.

(Works on the Black Path continue to focus on the flood alleviation elements...)

Elsewhere, along the Connswater Community Greenway Farrans are making progress with kerbing and footpath resurfacing works on Montgomery Road and Whincroft Road.

Flood Alleviation works also continue to make steady progress with the continued installation of flood walls in the Mersey Street area, works on the weir in the Hollow area and piling works in the Avoniel area.

Meanwhile in the new C.S. Lewis Square we continue to install granite paved walkways, Scottish Whinstone seating and foundations for the areas spectacular Narnia inspired sculptures. We recently went to see the Sculptures inspired by Narnia. Read on about that trip by clicking here.
