Construction of the Connswater Community Greenway continues across most of east Belfast.

Construction has now begun in the Hollow at Elmgrove to Beerbridge Road (section C6). This site is very special to the Connswater Community Greenway as it is where the Connswater River meets the Knock and the Loop Rivers and it is what our logo is based on!

In section D5, Sydenham Bypass to Mersey Street & D4,  Mersey Street to Ballymacarrett Walkway Farrans have been carrying out sheet piling works along the Connswater River to begin works on the flood defences for the area.

Works also continue to extend the pathway at Orangefield Park into Clarawood, Braniel and Laburnum. Farrans continue with the construction of the Gabion wall and concreting works on the new Connswater Community Greenway (Section C7).

At Dixon Park (section C5) Farrans continue to progress with concreting works on the bridge abutments and the Connswater Community Greenway path, whilst also finishing each area with top soil.

Streetscaping continues to transform the Orby Road to Orby Link section (B9). While at the Holywood Arches section the contractor continues with earthworks, drainage and lighting ducting, in preparation for central hub of the project (C.S. Lewis Square).
