Bulb Planting at Victoria Park

Bulb Planting

The Connswater Community Greenway and Conservation Volunteers NI (CVNI) were delighted to have local residents and volunteers help them plant bulbs in Victoria Park recently.

The planting of bluebell and snowdrop bulbs in the park is just one of the CCG’s volunteering action days taking place along the route of the Greenway. These action days are aimed at engaging local people and volunteers to improve the biodiversity of sites along the route and to get people into the green spaces in East Belfast.

Around 20 local residents and volunteers took part in the activity and 2500 bluebells and snowdrops were planted in the park.

For more information on the volunteering activities taking place along the route please contact Sean Brannigan by emailing sean@eastbelfastpartnership.org or visit the ‘Get Involved’ section of the website.
