Orangefield Summer Bug Hunt

Orangefield Summer Bug Hunt

Belfast City Council in association with Bloomfield Wildlife Watch held a fun ‘bug day’ in Orangefield Park on Saturday 6th June.

The event was part of the BBC’s Breathing Places programme and included prizes for the best costume made out of recycled materials, beekeeping talks, a mini beast hunt, planting of wildflower plugs and much more. Connswater Community Greenway was delighted to be involved in this event.

A CCG stall was set up in Orangefield Park in which further information on the project could be found through talking to Wendy and Sean or through the leaflets which were distributed to the visitors.
