First Stakeholder Forum June 2008

The Connswater Community Greenway held their first Stakeholder Forum meeting on 6 June 2008 in the Park Avenue Hotel.  The event was attended by around 70 people representing a broad range of sectors within East Belfast.  The key aims of the Stakeholder Forum are:

  • To promote the Connswater Community Greenway, disseminate information and develop understanding around implications for and requirements of different stakeholders;
  • To give support to suppliers and other stakeholders in respect of the development of the Connswater Community Greenway and to enable individuals and groups to remain engaged with the Connswater Community Greenway project;
  • To promote positive partnerships for those working to develop the Connswater Community Greenway and other related services;
  •  To ensure that the cross cutting themes and guiding principles of the project are implemented through partnership;
  •  To encourage the sharing of information between all sectors to assist with the development of the Greenway and its management and maintenance;
  • To promote quality, share good practice and to provide feedback to the Programme Management Team on emerging needs and issues;
  • To promote and support the involvement of users of the Connswater Community Greenway.

The Stakeholder Forum will meet quarterly and the next meeting will be scheduled for September 2008.  Photographs of the Forum meeting held in June can be viewed in the gallery.
