First Stakeholder Forum June 2008

The Connswater Community Greenway held their first Stakeholder Forum meeting on 6 June 2008 in the Park Avenue Hotel.  The event was attended by around 70 people representing a broad range of sectors within East Belfast.  The key aims of the Stakeholder Forum are:

The Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Tom Hartley teamed up with East Belfast Partnership's Sammy Douglas for a cycle in the east of the city as the Connswater Greenway project is edging closer to becoming a reality.

East Belfast Wins Lottery Millions

East Belfast communities are celebrating their success as Connswater Community Greenway secures a £23m grant from the Big Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks programme. The project is one of three successful projects in the UK and the only project in Northern Ireland to be awarded Living Landmarks funding.
