Signage goes up ahead of Avoniel Community Garden

The signage went up today ahead of the creation of the Avoniel Community Garden. 

This site is currently neglected and is deemed as an unused space. We hope that the creation of a community garden will give the surrounding local residents a chance to work together to build something of their own.

A positive step forward today for the Connswater Community Greenway project as the tender for  construction of phase one is advertised.

CCG visits community gardens ahead of Avoniel community garden creation.

As part of research for the Avoniel Community Garden some of the CCG team along with representatives from the East Belfast Mission, East Belfast Community Councilling, Bloomfield Community Association and Belfast City Council visited other BCC Community Gardens to find out what works well.

CCG Stakeholder Forum Nov 2012

The latest CCG stakeholder forum took place today and was kindly hosted by Bloomfield Methodist Church.

The Lord Mayor Alderman Gavin Robinson was in attendance along with other elected local representatives including Deputy Mayor of Castlereagh Tommy Sandford.
