CCG Information session's kick off with Orangefield Park

CCG information sessions kicked off on Saturday (2nd Feb) focusing on the construction planned for Orangefield Park. This information session was held in the Orangefield Park Bowling Pavilion.

The session had a large attendance including members of the public, residents in the area, park users and local politicians including the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Alderman Gavin Robinson.

Politicians get update on CCG project at breakfast

The quarterly EBP (East Belfast Partnership's) Politicians Breakfast Briefing took place this morning. This briefing provides an opportunity for our local elected representatives to be updated on the various projects being undertaken in the Partnership. Attending the breakfast included Rt. Hon. Peter Robinson MLA First Minister and Lord Mayor of Belfast Alderman Gavin Robinson.

Greenway Information Sessions begin

We are holding a number of Information Sessions ahead of the construction of the Connswater Community Greenway.

These sessions will allow you to view and discuss the plans for each particular area as stated below. Please note that not all sessions will be manned, so if you want to discuss plans you need to check schedule below.

Avoniel Community Garden Container Arrives

The Avoniel Community Garden took a step forward yesterday with the arrival of the container! This container will be used as a classroom and training space for both adults and children.

The Avoniel Community Garden will be the first of many along the greenway route and we hope that it will become an attraction as well as an important, integral part of the community here. Check out the arrival of the container in the CCG gallery.

CCG supporting Bird Day this weekend at Orangefield Park

Friends of Orangefield Park and Bloomfield Wildlife Watch invite you to Winter Bird Day on Sat, 26th January.
Come along to this free event and learn more about our feathered friends and their habits. There will be arts and craft workshops, mist netting, wildlife talks and much more. Activities are based around the bowling pavillion and run between 12noon - 3pm.
