On Saturday 4th May the Avoniel community garden was open for anyone to drop in!
This garden is currently open Mon and Weds 1-4pm, but is now open the first Saturday of every month from 10am-2pm.
If you want to get involved contact sean@eastbelfastpartnership.org or message us on CCG Facebook www.facebook.com/connswatercommunitygreenway or Twitter @ConnswaterCG.
Did you know that this week is International Compost Awareness Week?
To celebrate this we planted an apple tree using compost made from your food and garden waste. In fact, all our plants are planted in organic garden compost in the garden!
Check out all the snaps of the group today including a little taster of some of the crops in the Avoniel Community Garden.
The community garden is now open the first Saturday of every month (10am - 2pm) and every Mon/Weds 1-4pm. If you want to get involved you can email sean@eastbelfastpartnership.org.
Today Sean joined Bloomfield Community Association, East Belfast Alternatives, Tidy NI and staff from McDonalds Connswater to help out at a community cleanup. Great to see local businesses and community coming together and taking ownership of this space. If you would like to get involved in any of the CCG community cleanups you can subscribe to the CCG mailing list or email sean@eastbelfastpartnership.org
Heather and Sean from the CCG team visited Lisnabreeny, Cregagh Glen for the launch of the Lisnabreeny Biodiversity & Access Project on Thursday 18th April.
